7.7 Missing creativity and integrity traps

The lack of creativity and integrity often leads to the stagnation and pure profit seeking.

Many presumably Expert companies run after clients, sell them all kinds of valueless services and/or fulfill their requirements instead of proposing the best solutions for their clients’ real needs. They may even engage in strange practices to retain the client. The end of business of Arthur Andersen consultancy company caused by services it provided to US energy corporation Enron demonstrates this trap.

Product companies lack the creativity if they are concerned with producing more of the same instead of making better product.

Self–Service companies like retail chains abuse their position when for instance forcing supplier to buy the right to use their Self-Service network.

If Commodity companies cared more about cleaner and safer production there would be fewer oil spills and less pollution.
