2.1        Business output or what is delivered

Business Orientation is the offer by a business to its customer. But what is delivered if the customer accepts the offer? What is the business output?

The Expert offers himself but is not delivered. His delivery is a Solution tailored specifically to one customer.

The Product is offered and delivered. But what is a Product? It is the same countable tangible (a phone) or intangible (an application) Item for all customers. The product maker defines an item as a Product by specifying its properties.

The Self-Service organizer offers his system by delivering to its customers an Access to that system.

The Commodity supplier offers recources whose quality and units of measure are defined by Commodities Exchange standards. The subject of delivery concerns the Quantity, i.e. how many units will be delivered.
