8.3 Analogy with the markets
There are four basic ways to participate in the market. We can trade or invest in:
1) specific shares of a particular company
2) general stock indexes representing national market segments
3) currencies that span one or more national markets
4) basic resources on commodity exchanges, reflecting +global supply and demand
