4.2 Rate of freedom to select customers
The Expert Orientation is the only Business Orientation with the real freedom to choose its customers.
While an Expert can accept or refuse a client, the Product maker has no influence over who will buy his product. At the most he can select the group of customers for which one product is intended.
The Self-Service organizer’s freedom to choose customers is even more limited, since Self-Services are as a rule open for all and even less distinction is made between users or groups of users.
The Commodity business has no freedom to select its customers either because it has only one customer which is the Market itself.
